Senior Management Programme (SMP)
To transform themselves into strategic leaders, executives need to broaden their understanding of the emerging business environment, hone their quantitative and qualitative skills. This mix of hard and soft skills is offered through the one-year Senior Management Programme of IIM Calcutta.
This one-year programme has been designed specifically for senior executives to: (1) equip them with analytical skills, (2) enhance their existing functional competencies, and very importantly, (3) transform them into strategic leaders. The programme covers twelve modules which expose participants to contemporary macro perspectives as well as functional knowledge for enhancing their strategic decision making.
The Programme has been designed keeping in mind Senior and Middle-level managers with more than ten years of work experience. The Programme will be most useful for managers newly taking on (or likely to take on) senior management responsibilities, and for senior functional managers moving to general management roles. Practicing senior managers who wish to update themselves on recent management thoughts will also find this programme relevant.
Working managers with an experience profile of ten years or more, who are graduates (10+2+3)/post graduates in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
The duration of the programme is one year. The sessions will be delivered through the online platform once in a week (Sunday 9.30 am – 12.30 pm).
There will be two campus visits of 5 days (4.5 days of sessions) each; one visit in the middle of the programme and the second towards the end of the programme. The campus visits will be conducted subject to the evolving pandemic situation and will depend on government and institute regulations, advisories and guidelines related to the pandemic.
Programme Fee: Rs. 820,000/-+ (applicable GST)
The programme will be offered through a unique blend of the diverse pedagogical tools most suitable for each module such as Cases, Role-plays, Simulations and Games, and lectures.
